Animage recently introduced FIDEX to Taiwan. The machine found high interest among the veterinarians who had come to their annual, 2-day Taipei Conference. CT scanners are virtually non-existent in the local animal hospitals due to severe space constraints. Even a small footprint machine like FIDEX presents an architectural challenge. But the trend to use advanced imaging like CT, FL and even MRI in Taiwan is strong.

Numerous academic and private practice veterinarians were excited to see the good image quality and the versatility of FIDEX. Getting Fluoroscopy integrated with the CT scanner has never been shown in Taiwan, and the product is sure to find proud owners on the island soon.

We were happy to announce a major improvement of FIDEX by adding a quick-exchange, secondary table-top designed for Digital Radiography. This option will be available for FIDEX in February 2012.

The ACVR meeting was filled with exciting reports and posters exploring advanced imaging techniques, establishing the leading role that CT plays in the field of veterinary imaging, and the growing importance of Fluoroscopy. We are delighted by the interest of close to 300 expert participants from as far as Korea, Australia and New Zealand, England, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Belgium and Canada.
