Fidex User Meeting 2018 - Welcome

The 2018 International Fidex User Meeting will be held on October 28 to 30 at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock, 90 Ridge Trail Drive, Sedona, AZ 86351. This is immediately following the ACVS Summit in Phoenix, AZ.

Dear Colleagues,

This Fidex User Meeting is our fourth conference after 2015 in Pleasanton, CA, 2016 in Prague, CZ, and 2017 in Lyon, France. The conference is for those interested in veterinary cone beam CT, in particular using the Fidex machine. While the name of the conference is User Meeting, attendees do not need to own or have access to a Fidex scanner, but they should have interest in the clinical application of this instrument and its technology.

The clinical use of Fidex has grown significantly in recent years due to growing user experience with accompanying improvements in both hardware and software. This year, our report on standard and special applications in the veterinary imaging field will include the new product version called Fidex-FS, or full system. There will be a focus on iodine contrast scanning to better image soft tissue, sprinkled with the latest engineering implementations designed to cover more indications, and changes to make it easier for the operator to obtain diagnostic quality results.

This is also a Call for Papers and Cases. Much of day 2 of the conference will be dedicated to lectures and image interpretation given by invited speakers and radiologists, and there will also be case presentations. Please contact the scientific committee directly at the addresses below. If accepted, a case presentation will be rewarded with waiving the conference fee.

Registration: kindly register with the Organizing Committee through email to hbruning@animage.com. The registration fee for regular attendees is $250 to help with financing the conference. Spouses are free and welcome to all presentations and events. Technicians may register at $100 per attendee, and accepted presenters are free.

Important dates & notes:

• The Conference will start on Sunday, October 28 at 2:00 PM, and close on Tuesday, October 30, at 12 PM.
• Lectures should be submitted by July 1, 2018 (see below); case presentations should be submitted by August, 2018.
• Hotel confirmations through the organizing committee are possible until July 15, 2018 in order to obtain the conference discount. Room rates are about $200/night + fees and taxes.
